(SPORT GERMANY PLAYER RATINGS VS ROMANIA MOTM GNABRY)
The German victory line under the new coach Hansi Flick continued because they passed Romania 2-1 in Hamburg on Friday. The victory helped them move closer to securing the top spot in Group J, in the FIFA World Cup qualifier 2022.
But it is certainly not a road in the park for Germany, because they conceded their first goal under the film when Ianis Hagi entertained everyone to defeat defense alone and found the back of the net in the 9th minute. The Romanian Shock Equalizer places Germany in the back legs throughout the first half, although the host does create many opportunities to try and find the equalizer.
The goal finally arrived in the 52nd minute thanks to Serge Gnabry’s attack from outside the box. Romania never really managed to create too many opportunities after that, with Germany dominating the game. They were a little wasteful in front of the goal.
But only when it looked like the game towards a deadlock, substitute Thomas Muller avoided everyone to find the final winner in the 81st minute, effectively sealed the three points for his country.
Here, at The Hard Tackle, we will run the rule over the German players in their narrow win over Romania this Friday.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen: 6.5/10 SPOTRS
Marc Andre Ter Stegen was beaten enough by Ianis Hagi for the first German goal, even though there was very little he could do.From that point onward, go for a stroll in the recreation center for the Barcelona goalkeeper since Romania neglected to give a single shot a shot the objective. He will be disappointed to miss a clean sheet.
Jonas Hofmann: 6.5/10
Jonas Hofmann had a slow start for the match, but immediately settled in it. Operating at right-back, Gladbach star made the robbery escape to offer maximum support to the attackers in the final third. Almost no signaging is very dangerous, but makes Romanian defenders busy.
Niklas Sule: 7.5/10
Niklas Sule produces a solid defensive display at the heart of the German backline. He was very useful in marking George Puscas from the game when his intimidating figure made him more difficult for Romania to make his presence feel.
Antonio Rudiger: 6.5/10
Antonio Rudiger was guilty of conceding early goals for Germany. He was too competent, especially to get nuts by Hagi in a box before the young winger beat Stegen. It was not a good look from Chelsea’s central defender, even though he improved after the opening.
